I am making stuff again...

It feels like it's been half a year, since summer almost, that I have drawn (really drawn) anything for myself. My mind has been in a good place and I am grateful for it, but somehow I lost touch with that half of me that needs to create ... on paper.

Like a multivitamin, the simplest act of composing a space to my liking is both healthy and invigorating. And, whether I realized it or not, I have been missing its effects like a bad habit. Here are some of those effects in the making.

In this one, I went back into my assorted papers cache and found an old pre-sketched drawing (the deer trophy, bridge, "rivery" part to the left side of the page) and worked some newness into it, changing the orientation of the page to vertical. I can't be sure of where it's going, but me likey none the less.

Using your hands to speak the truth is brilliant. This one spells it out for me: "DRAWING STILL LIFE," plainly speaking.

It feels good to be back.
